The cabinet on this 75 yr. Old unit, although a little dusty, is in excellent condition with wear to its original wrinkle finish see pics. So i've just decided to part with it all and sell it, as is, at no reserve, in the weeks, months, and, yes, even years come, if necessary I started doing this on off over last several now am finally putting a dent seemingly endless stockpile.

I ended up acquiring most all of his inventory - early radio parts, tubes and test equipment from estate, as the family didn't want any it. Especially when it comes to all the new technology out there hell, I m still using an ancient computer and camera my commodore 64 Polaroid SC-70. But since I retired a few years ago, ve had my own health issues to deal with. Personal note: much of the vintage radios, tubes, and electronics I have were acquired from a friend mine, who passed away over 14 yrs ago, at age 87.

He had served in the navy WWII, and following war, worked engineering dept of sylvan radio TV, before becoming a tech college electronics instructor into retirement. The unit powers up, and although untested, these units were built with such high-quality components that a little calibration may be all's needed. There are 3 vacuum tubes in the Boonton that all tested VG to - a 5w4 rectifier, 1659 double diode-tried which is selected 2a6 for only, and 45 power tried.

I have a PDF file of the original manual that will also print out and send with unit. It measured the quality factor of coils, variable condensers, and other ham radio test equipment components used in electronic devices had broad applications testing systems.

And please be patient, as I m a little slow methodical at my age bride of 50 yrs calls it being anal. All the knobs, dials, meters, and gold-plated binding posts are intact functional. Lolling and associates was a manufacturer of electronic test instruments.
