Not bad for a piece of equipment that had to be several decades old. I included a video of me testing one AA battery to show it working. While checking through boxes, I came across this battery tester, along with other electrician testing equipment. After buffing the terminal tester in bottom left corner, I pulled several batteries of different types: AA, AAA, 9V to see if it would respond.

All of the batteries caused needle to register as good because they were brand new except for one battery which was drained and registered needing be replaced. As a result, his possessions were left to my parents, who have been trying sell what they can't keep in order pay bills. Amazingly enough, it responded perfectly. Upon inspection, I discovered that the tester WORKS!, Originally, it was dirty due to long storage, but after cleaning up dirt and dust, looked be in excellent condition.
