Details:

Bought the brand new pfanstiehl 697-D7 stylus for it thinking at was bad, and may be. These are vintage new or used items and will show various signs of use, age storage.

Purchased a shire m97xe cartridge and stylus new that did not improve the sound quality of turntable so it is something else was wrong with turntable, parting out or selling for repair. Cartridge is unmarked, but believe it a Audio Technica AT91.

It came off a Sony spx-40 and had the yellow Audio Technica stylus in.

The nature of vintage electronics, items up to 75 years old and beyond, can be unpredictable so keep that in mind please. If you should encounter a problem give me the opportunity to make right. Audio quality of the turntable was same.
