The internal volume, Bass and treble are active when this input is used. The turntable has a considerably lower volume than the AM/FM and might be associated with cartridge. The cabinet has a few smaller scratches side as on most units that are this age. All wiring is in 'like new' condition and shows NO sign of age or cracking considered very safe.
It is obvious this unit has not been used very much simply from the test quality of each tube. VERY RARE investment. If I have missed any details, please feel free to MSG me thru. Fully tested and in original working condition.
This Magnavox chassis is an AMP142 and the Radio CR721 circa 1956. Tube preamps are 12AX7s, outputs Quad 6V6gts and the rectifiers Dual 5Y3gts. The chassis and wiring was fully checked for any poor connections or cold solder connections, all were good factory original.
This unit will only INCREASE in value over time, great for a museum or collector. The motor bearings have been lubricated with the same high quality oil as originally. ALL the tubes are labeled with Magnavox name and have no signs of ever being changed. The power supply electrolytic capacitors show no sign of leakage or age, NO buzz hum in the audio amp.
The chassis has an unused RCA - AUX input audio level that could be used for another audio source like a guitar or whatever.
It can be demonstrated upon pickup at a safe location. The two original 12 inch speakers are in excellent working condition. Have a great day!, The Collaro record changer works on all speeds and the PMS were checked with strobe disc perfect.
When it is purchased you can be assured all functions have been checked and carefully documented here. This unit has NOT been altered in any way physically or electrically and seems to be factory original. This unit is NOT a stereo but it monaural, was built before the advent of 'stereo.
I really did not want to sell this unit because it is so rare and hard find. The turntable is UK built and of higher quality than many made here in the US. This comes with the full schematic and service information in a Howard SAM's Photo fact copy.
This unit is VERY loud and will likely be in the range of 80 clean clear analog watts . These units were originally built without any back or bottom panels.
