With that said, I am pricing this unit as if the dvd record feature does not work. That could be me versus the system but know it too remote works vcr and dvd only with basic features. However, I tried using it but could not get to work quite right. The vcr played from onset with no issues.

You should not have to push the dvd button on remote, just keep vcr one pushed. The dvd and vcr have been tested. I googled the issue, took back off, and worked on it, including oiling tray rails. Tests included loading, playing, rewinding, forwarding, and pausing from the device provided remote.

See cartoon video. As you can see from the pictures both work fine when system first boots up, it will say hi. Press the set and power buttons at same time. You do have to change it from vcr dvd on the system itself.

The remote does not have a cover for batteries turn on system, point at system and press play. You can the select either vcr or dvd to play.

The dvd is also a recorder. The remote does not have that button. It now seems to open and close properly.

That should then work the vcr, dvd, and turn power on off. For seconds. Also take a close look at the pictures. See picture of movie.

The dvd player would not eject. Much appreciated. Which ever of the two vcr vs dvd is selected on system, remotes play, rewind, and forward buttons work. Once a dvd was put in, the system played it fine.

But, batteries are included.
