Unit is fully functional and has not been use by us since it was purchased. We really don't need the second one. Ours will last quite a while on the internal 9v battery. Runs off of a standard 9v battery or wall-wort.

Just load it once and then program target devices again. Uses 10 or 6 pin ISP programmer connection to the target controller program. This works great for having non-engineer types program avr devices in production.

We bought two of these and still use the one. Kanda portable avr programmer model HH0010M the ultimate programming tool for micro controllers, in field or on production line - so easy a child can use it.
