The vector monitor can be used with grid-fed or cathode-fed color picture tube circuitry. A chrome polarity reversing switch on the rear panel reverses display both vertically and horizontally so color bars resulting from cathode-fed signals, which are opposite in to those grid-fed will appear proper sequence.
