Details:

The brochure I read also mentioned that stereo uni match plug for MDR-51 had a mono switch delivered sound to both ears even when using monaural source so perhaps is what happening. Am not sure. Some light scuffing and normal signs of use, a couple small dings on the outside ends plastic where earpieces are. Check shipping details or ask questions if you are unsure.

Picked these up a while back as I can never turn down great looking pair of Sony headphones.

10w frequency response: 18-22,000 Hz cord length : 2m plug type: stereo uni match weight w o: 35g this brochure said that these headphones came in black and had them listed along side the MDR-51 model, which have similar stats are slightly larger. Always happy to help people out with questions.

When plugged into my computer or phone, the sound seems lacking in bass and a little muddled for lack of better , but I them Sony taps-l2 played only left right volume comes through both sides clearly. Very odd behavior and as I am not an expert in this, there could be a plug issue that causes this performance. Also as a side note, these came from former DHS home which may give some direction to why they are red instead of black.

Shipping: shipping is done using calculator. Got home and did some research cannot find much information at all on these.

I have found them listed in an old Sony brochure which shows the stats of these to be: type: dynamic driver unit: 23mm diameter dome impedance 1khz: 25 ohms sensitivity spl MW: 100db rated power. Clearly these are red not black, the MDR-31 model and do weigh approx 35g have a cord about 2m. Inspect all photos for condition.

As for the cosmetic condition, these are in great shape. The cord seems intact, though like I said there is corrosion on plug itself and some distortion can occur when moving point where meets.
