The bulb looks good but I have not tested. VintaGe GE Series Heater Checker PTR-981, This is a simple instrument to check heater filament function in old vacuum tubes and picture. Short of smashing it, the only thing that can go wrong is battery going dead or bulb burning out. As you can see from the image of circuit inside, its a very simple design.

If its not in the images, it is included. Model: PTR-981, Included: ONLY what is shown in the pictures. What you see is what Get. As such, I'm guessing that the unit still works save for battery and maybe bulb. It requires a Burgess 532, 4.5 volt not included.
