So yeah, don't use this on your space shuttle or anything that needs to be precise until its been calibrated. I purchased this item a few years back at an estate sale after finding it curious. Connecting the ground probe to of a dc power supply, and probing 12v setting gives results shown in photos. I presume this is working correctly, but am not an electrical engineer.

When connected to wall power, the light in upper right illuminates. Notes on condition: the probe is chipped up and cracked as seen in photos. This is a vintage piece of electrical test equipment. It does show wear and dirt consistent with its age.

Unless the device is laid on its back, needle simply falls to one side or other, and can't be zero'd. It looks great on display and may even be suitable for use yet. The plastic lens is chipped in upper right.

Its a really cool piece of equipment. However, I can't guarantee it works 100% as lack the means to test thoroughly.
